The Control Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all control systems. The Control Maintenance Engineer should understand machine operation, but in addition to an operator he/she also has to understand the control device hardware and software. The Control Maintenance Engineer performs planned and unplanned maintenance procedures and in the event of a failure on the panel or on the HMI he/she has to diagnose the issue and be able to implement the necessary troubleshooting action to solve it. He/She highlights issues and solutions to supervisors.
